In this series, I capture the ethereal, hazy beauty of my subjects through the imperfections of the analogue process.

Drawing inspiration from the Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron and pictorialism, I use blur, dust and damaged negatives to encourage the viewer to focus on the subject’s emotion. By capturing them in slight motion and softening the focus, I compose romantic images reminiscent of the compositions found in painting.
