This series explores feelings of existential anxiety and the deep, indefinable fears associated with the human condition. I was inspired by the poetry of Alexandra Pizarnik and Sylvia Plath for its introspective nature and its exploration of the feeling of alienation.

The ambiguity of the photographs, which are melancholic and poetic, lies somewhere between external and internal reality. This allows me to create a liminal space where feelings can be laid bare.

In this series, silver-based printing and the title The Eye of the Waterfall coexist, as the eyes are the means by which we interpret visual information. They act as a link between the body, the inner world, and reality, the outer world. The double exposure in the prints featuring text serves as a continuation of the connection between poetry and photography.

The Eye of the Waterfall also draws on the vocabulary of nature, frequently used in the works of Plath and Pizarnik, as a metaphor for their emotions and reflections.

Emotions are not tangible, but poetry and photographic prints are.
